Q: Can you look after tyres and servicing for business vans around Martlesham Heath?

Yes. There are a lot of businesses and fleets around Martlesham Heath and the Woodbridge area, and the branch is well set up to keep work vehicles on the road. Van tyres across the budgets, from high-mileage workhorses to premium long-distance options Servicing, MOTs and repairs on site, so a van is looked after across the board Same-day fitting where possible, to avoid losing working days If you run several vans, talk to us about keeping the whole fleet maintained. Call the Woodbridge branch on 01473 612 067.

Q: I'm driving on a space-saver spare. How urgently do I need it replaced?

Fairly urgently. A space-saver spare is only meant to get you to a garage, not to keep driving on. Most are limited to around 50mph, so check the sticker on the wheel They offer less grip and braking than a full tyre, especially in the wet They are not designed for long distances or motorway use Get to the Woodbridge branch as soon as you can and we will repair or replace the original tyre and get the proper wheel back on. If the puncture is repairable rather than a write-off, we will repair it at a fraction of the cost of a new tyre. Call 01473 612 067.

Q: My steering wheel vibrates at motorway speed. What causes it?

A vibration that appears at higher speed and eases off when you slow down is very often a wheel balance problem, though it can have other causes. Wheel weights can be knocked off by a pothole or lost over time, leaving a wheel out of balance Uneven tyre wear or a slightly buckled wheel can also cause it Left alone, an out-of-balance wheel wears the tyre unevenly and stresses suspension parts Bring it into Woodbridge and we will check the balance and the tyres. Our wheel balancing is included free with every new tyre we fit. Call 01473 612 067.

Q: Should I choose all-season tyres for year-round driving?

For a lot of Woodbridge drivers, all-season tyres are a sensible middle ground, though it depends on how you drive. They cope with the cold, wet mornings and occasional snow of a Suffolk winter without needing a twice-yearly swap Standard summer tyres harden and lose grip below about 7 degrees Dedicated winter tyres still grip better in the very coldest conditions if you drive unlit lanes or need to get out whatever the weather Come in or call 01473 612 067 and tell us about your driving, and we will give you a straight recommendation rather than upselling.

Q: Can you fit tyres I've bought online at the Woodbridge branch?

It is best to call us first on 01473 612 067 and talk it through, because in most cases Hadleigh Tyre Group would rather help you get the right tyre at a fair price from the start. People often buy online expecting a saving, then face a separate fitting charge and the hassle of getting the tyres to a garage We stock a wide range of car tyres across the budgets and can usually give a competitive fitted-and-balanced price You get the reassurance of buying from a local garage that stands behind the work Give us your reg or tyre size for an honest comparison, or reserve through our Woodbridge tyre finder .

Q: Do you fit tyres for electric and hybrid cars at Woodbridge?

Yes. There are a lot of electric and hybrid vehicles around Woodbridge, Martlesham and the nearby tech and business parks, and they have particular tyre needs. EVs are heavier than the equivalent petrol or diesel car because of the battery They deliver power instantly, which wears tyres faster if the wrong ones are fitted Many EV tyres are also built to cut road noise, which is more noticeable in a quiet cabin Tell us your make and model and we will point you to the right option rather than fitting whatever is nearest. We can also run a TPMS check so the pressure system reads correctly afterwards. Call 01473 612 067.

Q: My battery keeps going flat on short trips. Can you check it at Woodbridge?

Yes. Short journeys and cold mornings are hard on a battery, because the engine never runs long enough to fully recharge what starting it used up. Over time that leaves the battery struggling. Bring it to Woodbridge for a battery check and we will test the battery and charging system, then tell you whether it needs replacing or just a proper charge. Slow or laboured starting is the classic early warning Dashboard electrics behaving oddly can be another sign We can fit and set up a replacement if it is needed Call 01473 612 067 to get it checked.

Q: Can I get my car serviced and MOT'd as well as new tyres at Woodbridge?

Yes. The Woodbridge branch is a full service garage, not just a tyre bay, so Hadleigh Tyre Group can handle it all in one visit: Car servicing MOTs Tyres, puncture repairs and wheel alignment Battery work and general repairs That saves separate trips to different places. If the MOT throws up work needed to pass, we will explain what and why, and the cost, before doing anything. Call 01473 612 067 to line up an appointment.

Q: Can I drop my car off before work and collect it later?

Yes, and it is a popular option here given how many customers commute. The branch sits right on the A12 and close to the business parks around Martlesham Heath, so plenty of people leave the car on the way to work and collect it later. Tell us what the car needs when you book and we will arrange a drop-off time We get on with the tyres, servicing or repairs while you are at work We call you as soon as it is ready If it is a straightforward tyre fit you would rather wait for, our same-day tyre fitting is usually quick. Call 01473 612 067 to arrange a time.
