Questions we're frequently asked at Hadleigh Tyre Group
My steering wheel vibrates at motorway speed. What causes it?
A vibration that appears at higher speed and eases off when you slow down is very often a wheel balance problem, though it can have other causes.
- Wheel weights can be knocked off by a pothole or lost over time, leaving a wheel out of balance
- Uneven tyre wear or a slightly buckled wheel can also cause it
- Left alone, an out-of-balance wheel wears the tyre unevenly and stresses suspension parts
Bring it into Woodbridge and we will check the balance and the tyres. Our wheel balancing is included free with every new tyre we fit. Call 01473 612 067.
