Questions we're frequently asked at Hadleigh Tyre Group
Are winter tyres worth it for Suffolk winters?
For most Melton drivers, winter tyres are optional rather than essential, but they make a real difference in the coldest months.
- Standard summer tyres harden and lose grip once the temperature drops below about 7 degrees, even on a dry road
- Winter tyres stay softer and grip better in cold, wet and icy conditions
- They are most worth it if you drive early mornings, unlit country lanes, or need to get out whatever the weather
If you would rather not swap tyres twice a year, ask us about all-season options instead. We will give you a straight view for your car and mileage rather than pushing the sale. See winter tyres or call 01394 386 614.
